When it is a Clark’s Nutcracker of course! TLC and I walked right up to this guy and I was positive he was a Whiskey Jack, said with all the authority of a 1 or 2 year birder. Nope, got home, checked my Merlin app and it is a Clark’s Nutcracker – note the long bill.
Anyway, it’s a lifer for me!
