2020 Firsts

We are well into the year, okay three days but this is my First post of the year. I sat down on January 1st to find I have critical space issues for the first time on my laptop. Time to listen to Neil Zeller and only save onto my External Hard Drives and Backblaze. Saving onto my home computer and laptop hard drive has been my norm and Wednesday’s surprise issues have me on a new track!

BD and I took our annual First of the Year walk (when we are in Victoria) down the Ogden Point Breakwater to the lighthouse Wednesday morning. There is a path that we had not noticed before and I had to get a picture.

January 1st we followed the STAR FISH path. In May 2020, I will be following yellow arrows on the Camino again. This time the Camino Portuguese Coastal Route.

The Ogden Point Breakwater is a short walk from our condo. A total of approximately only 3.5 km total but still a nice start to the year. It seems to be a tradition for many people, young, old, walkers, runners, families, dog owners, lovers and many individuals make the short trek each new year.

It looks empty, but I did wait for an opportunity to snap when there were only few people in the shot.
Lots of wave action. It was NOT a warm walk
More waves
The lighthouse at the end of the breakwater
Pretty bird, although I know one or two who would look at me askance for saying that, lol!

I love to make this walk down the breakwater. I hope you got to do something you love to do on the FIRST day of the year!

You will find a few more firsts and a few words on my 2020 One Little Word, in my next post.
